Wise on Weeds! workshops
Sugar maples, American beech and yellow birch are the trees
you'd expect to encounter during a walk in the woods. Unfortunately,
some plants people commonly plant outside their homes and
businesses are compromising our forests and threatening
to push out native species. If you are a gardener thinking
about what shrubs you 'd like to take out or plant this
fall, or if you a landowner concerned by the growing presence
of invasive species, this workshop is for you. Learn how
to identify invasive species, how they spread, how to get
rid of them, and why they are a threat to native species
in Vermont.
